Five faces make up the removable dome, clad in appliqués of aluminium cast in green sand and hand-moulded. Square openings pierce each panel and receive amber castor bean resin. Contact between the aluminium and the resin during curing generates reactions that change from piece to piece, such as microbubbles, shrinkage and pitting, and each opening carries a variation in colour and density. When lit, the resin is crossed by light from the sides and the top at once, and the amber colour travels through the whole in every direction.


Four long tubes in polished stainless steel support the dome at over a metre from the floor, axially compressed between turned conical feet, plates and caps, and locked by an X-element in the lower third. The feet touch the ground with minimal contact area.


Each unit registers variations of its own, from the casting and from the curing of the resin. Made to order at DONÓ's atelier. Comes with a certificate of authenticity.
