The frame winds around the oval mirror in a continuous curve and stops short of forming a circle, and the opening keeps the gesture suspended. The rounded profile, of considerable thickness, gives the wood volume around the entire mirror, and the hand-sculpted Jequitibá Rosa preserves the curve without a break in continuity from one end to the other. The grain follows the arc and changes direction as the piece progresses.
