Light from inside the dome passes through the amber castor bean resin from the sides and the top at once. The appliqués, moulded in green sand, show the marks of the manual process, and each opening holds a distinct reaction from the curing process, with microbubbles, shrinkage and variations in density that belong to a single piece. The four polished stainless steel tubes hold the geometry along the entire length, locked by an X-element that stiffens the structure in the lower third.
