The appliqués, moulded in green sand, show the marks of the manual process. The dome's openings are filled with amber castor bean resin, and each opening holds a distinct reaction from the curing process, with microbubbles, shrinkage and variations in density that belong to a single piece. The polished stainless steel feet support the whole.
